About Us

The Wisbech Academy provides a high-quality, inclusive, and responsive education for up to 600 students aged 11-16 in Wisbech and the surrounding villages. The school is supported by the Brooke Weston Trust (BWT), which has a proven record of accomplishment in transforming education in challenging contexts. The school works in partnership with its neighbouring BWT school, Thomas Clarkson Academy (TCA), to create a sustainable model of secondary education across the Wisbech area. The school has a curriculum that is focused on science, technology and maths, but also provides a broad foundation in other subjects. The school also develops students' cultural awareness, social skills, and personal values, involving families and the wider community in the learning process. The school has high expectations of attendance, behaviour, and achievement, and will provide strong pastoral support for every child. The school also ensures that safeguarding is a priority, and that every student feels respected and valued.

Flourishing Community

We think community is important, and we put time and effort into building positive relationships in our school. We treat everyone with respect and kindness. We value each person in our community and believe that each one of us has an important contribution to make.

Great Teaching

We believe that the most important thing that we can do to give our students a great education is to deliver great teaching every day. We use the best available evidence from research to help us do this, and we are always on the lookout for ways to improve.
