Lynne is an experienced teacher and leader who has worked most recently at Ormiston Bushfield Academy in Peterborough. In this role, Lynne’s focus has been on teaching and learning and on raising student aspirations. Previously, Lynne has worked at a Head of English in a large inner-city school and as a Senior Leader in a University Technical College (with a STEM specialism). Recently, Lynne has been a mentor to Early Careers Teachers, using well-researched resources and methodologies to support them to develop their practice.

Lynne is an experienced form tutor and sees the role as an important one within the busy school day, understanding that pastoral support can enhance academic performance. Lynne is looking forward to welcoming Year 7 and supporting them to settle into the new building in September and then, over time, providing the guidance to ensure they excel academically and move into exciting and ambitious careers. 

Lynne is really looking forward to being The Wisbech Academy’s Head of English: she is looking forward to providing an engaging and ambitious but supportive curriculum that gives students a lifelong love of reading and writing, giving our students the tools to thrive.
