Richard’s distinguished career in education spans over two decades, marked by transformative leadership in challenging school environments. As a principal with a six-year tenure, Richard has been instrumental in leading schools to success, as evidenced by the Ofsted ‘good’ rating achieved by their current school in 2020. This accolade reflects not only Richard’s leadership but also the concerted efforts of the dedicated staff and students.
Holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in History, a master’s degree in educational leadership and management, and the National Professional Qualification for Headship, Richard’s academic credentials are a testament to their expertise and unwavering commitment to lifelong learning and the pursuit of educational excellence.
With over two years of governance experience in a pupil referral unit and an active role in the Cambridgeshire Schools Forum, Richard has refined their strategic planning abilities and gained a profound understanding of the complexities within the educational sector.
In their latest role as the Executive Principal for the Wisbech Campus, Richard will oversee both the Thomas Clarkson Academy and the newly established Wisbech Academy. Their leadership is pivotal in guiding the development of the new free school, located on the same site as their academy.
